One of Ghana’s favourite rappers, Quata Budukusu has secured a 3-year distribution deal with Jamaican record distribution company, VPAL Music – a subsidiary of VP Records.
The deal, which will see to it that all the records of the Bakus Entertainment/Beat Jonkeyz Music artiste are distrusted worldwide, was sealed a few weeks ago.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Pulse.com.gh, Quata said, “It’s a 3-year distribution deal which is not limited to only the ‘Quantum Riddim’, but other projects in that period of time.”
“It’s a global distribution of the music through all forms and methods of digital sales, hard copies sales not excluding videos,” he added.

The project is titled “Quantum Riddim” with a track featuring Jamaican Dancehall legend, Gully Bop, and production work from KV Bangerz.
Explaining why he decided to record 13 different songs with just one riddim, Quata Budukusu divulged, “Just wanted to do something different from the norm – breaking the rules to introduce something new. Wanted to set a record with my one man Riddim as the first artiste in the world to ever do that.
The real challenge was making each track to sound different from the other and still maintaining the fluidity to make all sound like unified piece altogether. So it wouldn’t be boring listening it.
And, with hard work and prayers, we were able to achieve that goal.”
