On 18 August 2017, Quata Budukusu released Quantum Riddim (his first album under Bakus Records) distributed by VPAL music, the distribution wing of VP records. Quantum Riddim is a 13-tracked album delivered on just a single beat. The release of Quantum Riddim was historic since no one has ever recorded 13 songs using same beat/riddim. It was therefore not surprising that the album, Quantum Riddim, was on the list to be considered for a 2018 Grammy Award nomination in the reggae category.
